Capacitance and Dissipation Factor Test Sets
2.5 kV and 12 kV Capacitance and Dissipation Factor Test Set

• Interference suppression circuits
• Automatic dissipation factor balancing
• Direct readout

These test sets automatically balance dissipation factor to speed and simplify testing. Lightweight and compact, these 2.5- and 12-kV units test high-voltage apparatus and insulating liquids. They feature advanced interference suppression to permit testing even in harsh environments, such as energized switchyards. Dissipation factor or equipment watts loss is displayed automatically on a digital LED.

DELTA 2000
10-kV Automated Insulation Power Factor Test Set

• Extremely easy-to-use with no extensive
  hardware or software setup
• Designed to work in high interference
switchyards of up to 765 kV
• Built-in capability for storing,
  printing and downloading test results

This fully automatic test set has been designed to provide a comprehensive ac insulation diagnostic test for high voltage apparatus, such as transformers, bushings, circuit breakers, cables, lightning arrestors and rotating machinery. Measurements are performed automatically and results are displayed on a large graphical LCD display. Measured quantities include voltage, current, power (loss), power factor, dissipation factor and capacitance. The operator has three options of storing the test results: on the provided data key, or downloaded directly to a PC, or the included thermal printer. The data key has storage capacity for 127 sets of test results. Information stored on the data key can be easily retrieved on a PC, using the provided software program

PowerDB
Acceptance and Maintenance Test Data Management Software

• 160+ industry standard test forms are
  provided
• Data trending for predictive failure analysis
• Built-in information processing: equation   calculations, temperature correction factors
  and charting
• Create new forms or customize our forms
• One-Step generation of test documentation   package
• Import data from other sources
• Test instrument control and data acquisition

The Megger PowerDB is a powerful software package providing data management for each of your acceptance and maintenance testing jobs.

Customer and contract information is quickly sorted and searched. Opening a specific record shows detailed information about the job, such as type of service, order date, sales contact, and invoice information. Job information and related test results can be transferred between field-use databases and a master database. Job and Device Productivity Reports track the time spent testing, which aids in bidding future jobs as well as personnel evaluation.

Test Forms
Designed from a ground up approach, PowerDB utilizes over 160 industry standard test forms that have been developed and used over 20 years by industry specialists. Test data entry screens and printed forms are identical allowing intuitive operation. What you see on the screen is what is printed in the reports. Entire test documentation packages consisting of test reports, comment & deficiency summaries, table of contents and field service reports are created with a single step. Once created, reports can be delivered electronically via email, CD-ROM, web server or Adobeฎ Acrobatฎ.

Test forms are designed for the majority of the electrical apparatus on the market today.

Resonating Inductor

• Expands the range of Capacitance
  and Dissipation Factor (Power Factor)
  Test Sets
• Capable of tuning capacitances up to
  1ตF at 10 kV
• Hand-crank tuning wheel
• Core gap gauge that displays position
  of inductor core
• Large wheels and handles for easy transport

The Resonating Inductor is an accessory for use with the semi-automatic 12 kV Extended-Range Capacitance and Dissipation Factor Test Set, or the Automated Insulation Power Factor Test Set (DELTA-2000).

The Resonating Inductor is used to expand the capacitance range of these test sets and cannot be used with the standard 12 kV Capacitance and Dissipation Factor Test Set.

The Resonating Inductor is connected in parallel with the internal power supply of the test set. A manual tuning wheel on the Resonating Inductor varies the inductance to tune the parallel circuit for minimum load current.

When used with the semi-automatic 12 kV Extended-Range Capacitance and Dissipation Factor Test Set, or DELTA-2000, the Resonating Inductor will extend the short-time rating of the power supply from 200 mA to 4 A. This capacity is suitable for testing capacitance loads of up to 1 ตF at 10 kV.
